some games have copy protection that gives reading error?

i'm using a samsung sh-d163b to read/rip games, just about all the games work, even the latest ones, but on same mildly scratch cd's, it gives me a error, is it just the scratches affecting or the games has a protection on it? any tips or suggestions??

so far all game will dump

i would tell you to clean the disc good and try again.
if your drive will dump some then it has to be the disc
