First of all I just wanted to say thank you very much, Haggard. Your patience and good answers have been a great help and I know it can try the patience to be asked so many questions...so please know that I do appreciate it!
After reading your answers, It sounds like patching the ISOs with SSv2 might be the way to go for me right now...so I think I'll learn how to do that and continue ripping with my Kreon drive since I don't have a dedicated Xbox drive to dedicate for ripping. However, If you were to tell me that *for sure* using a 360 drive (BenQ, Samsung or Lite-On) is the safest way to get reliable rips for Live play, I'd probably break down and buy a broken machine on eBay to pull the drive out.
HaGGardSmurf wrote:As long as they (old ripped games with Kreon drive) are ssv2 they are safe for online. I havent played backups online for a while so I cannot guarantee this, but its what the big guy's are saying. As far as the games that are not ssv2 you can just patch them if you go to the 360 tut section, then go to pic tut's then other you should find the tut I made.
How can I check my old backed-up games to see if they are SSv2? I originally ripped them with a Kreon drive, then stealth checked the ISO, then burned them to Verbatim discs. I still have the ISOs of these games if it would be easier to check the ss from the ISO rather than the burnt game disc backup.
HaGGardSmurf wrote:Thats weird man, all my kreon rips come back as ssv1, and as far as I know a kreon drive cannot rip a game with ssv2
Yeah, it is weird how my Kreon rip for COD MW2 showed SSv2. You said no Kreon drive can rip SSv2...so does that mean that all my old rips and burns are definitely not SSv2 and not safe for online play?
