flashed on 0800 f/w,not recognizing drive in windows
Hey guys,I've flashed my sammy following cofrees "Flashing in 0800 firmware in a samsung dvd drive(video)" everything looked a sussess, but when I boot up windows and wait for the flashed sammy drive to install,I get nothing. So I've now repeated this process around 5 - 6 times, just incase of what have you.
I'm using the new iprep 10.7 and loading "samcfw.bin" and my target device is usb fat 32 if that makes any difference.
Then I'm going into Iprep on the usb, into backups and creating a 1234567 folder, opening that and creating a 12345 folder and putiing in the "ix16-samsung-0800" firmware.
Now I've gone to "JungleFlasher 0.1.72 Beta".Loading in some "org sam 28 f/w" and then loaded target as ""ix16-samsung-0880"then spoofed source to taget, saved and named as "Samcfw.bin" and replaced the "ix16-samsung-0800" (into the usb iprep backup folder),do I just add this with the "ix16-samsung-0880" or replace?
Now I've shut down and booted from usb and followed instrustion and had a susseful flash.Restarted and loged into windows and nothing.Went to "Device Manger" scanned for hardware change and nothing.
I've all so followed "commando_lees" traditional text tutorial on how to do this and still nothing when I try to find the drive in windows.
Any help would be much appreciated at this point because I'm practicly now
Thanks,
Southbound

Yes.It's now flashed follwong your "flashing the 0800 firmware onto a SAMSUNG MS25 / MS28 drive" so have the drive half way opened then when I'm in windows turn it on?

yes that normaly works fine, you will still need to have it connected via sata, and have power.
also if that doesnt work. re enable your via card drivers

Re: flashed on 0800 f/w,not recognizing drive in windows
Some people need to power the drive (with tray half open) during windows booting, others can just power it on any time after windows has booted (with tray half open) and it will be recognized.
Glad you got it sorted though
