Looking to upgrad my lite-on 1.5 firmware to the latest.

Hello everyone.

I would like to update my Xbox 360's firmware which is right now 1.5. I have a modded Lite-On drive and would love to update it to the latest firmware. Can anyone provide some assistance with this please.

Have you got a backup of your dvd key incase you mess the drive up? always good to have a backup of the key. what program would you prefer to flash with? jungle flasher is a windows based program and iprep is a dos based program.

Hello and thank you for replying. I have all my files backed up. inquiry.bin, key.bin, identify.bin, dummy.bin and the lite_cfw.bin files all backed up. When I flashed it it was jungle flasher i had used. I now have the lastest jungle flasher and would not mind using it. I also have the Lite-On LT firmware downloaded.

You can view all the tutorials we have, if you watch any jungle flasher + lite-on 7 series drive that will show you how to flash LT to your drive. The flashing steps are all the same no matter if you flash LT, or any other ixtreme FW.

I've watched the tutorial from Sadalius, upgrading fw from version 1.50 to 1.51. I am a bit confused, y because the video says that the hacked fw will load automatically. So is it loading from? In the JF program there is a firmware folder and a text file saying place fw here, however the LiteOn_iXtreme_LT fw has 4 .bin files and a folder "liteon orig" that consists of 4 .bin files as well. Again i have my previous hacked files plus the new ones. Please advise of my next steps.

The FW file you need depends on the drive you have..

If you have a 7 series lite-on (which you do) you will need the 74850c version of LT. You dont need the original FW... and you dont need to auto load, you can just browse for the FW and load it. Auto load doesn't make a difference.

I have the same xbox Lite-On DG16D2S setup but with 1.6 and have the original drive key files. Do i need to use the probe with this or not to upgrade (it is just for getting the drive key right?)?
