Hitachi 79 FL bringing up to date

So I need some help,

I have a Hitachi 79FL and Im trying to bring it up to date. Last firmware I put on was 1.51 and Now I'm trying to play a backup of Red Dead and it wont read the disk. Now from what I found out there is no newer firmware out, so Im just trying to get a feel on what i need to do in order to get it working? I looked back in the forums and didnt see anything most of it was flashing issues so if anyone knows an old post or any info on the issue please help.

your drive is up to date, 1.51 was the latest firmware for hitachi drives, maybe its a bad back up.

1.51 does not check waves (only on hit's) which means a hitachi drive with 1.51 can play any and all games. So there must be something wrong with your iso/backup like louis suggested.

Thats what I was thinking, im going to try it again and ill reply again. I just wanted to make sure that I was not crazy and missing something with the firmware.
