i have been thinking today will we need to buy a new tool to open it because the case is completely different to the old one as anyone ordered one of these yet who is willing to put some pics up
and let us know if it is a new drive etc

read back a few post and you will find a link to another site where someone has gone into full detail on the console, how to open it, the motherboard, dvd drive, pretty much the lot

Makers of devices that utilize optical disks of all kinds have been tormented by this very thing for a very long time. Nothing new to the 360 either. Although you would think that they would take some of the money they are saving on this revamped console and put in some foam strip bumpers to at least help with this issue though.

Everyone should know that if a game is spinning at 4/8/12x if you move your console your disk is going to move as well, and thats not good if its spinning.

Whatever. My first 360 scratched up several discs while it was just sitting around. That's why I only use backups these days.
