Upgrading Liteon from 1.6 to LT 1.1

Hello everyone, it has been a while. Well, I am trying to update my firmware from 1.6 to LT 1.1. I have a DG-16DS drive FW: 74850C. I'd really like to use iPrep as JF always freezes for me. I do have the Key/Identify/Inquiry/Dummy files from when I flashed before, but I'm not sure if the key is valid (or how to check).

I'm not sure if another dump would do anything. I found tutorials for updating to LT 1.1, but they all say to use JF. Is it possible to use iPrep and if so, is there a tutorial on here that I should follow?

edit: I also have a Lit_CFW file from the previous flash. I loaded up JF 1.75b and loaded that in under the "source" tab to see if I had a valid key. A warning popped up saying that it was missing some drive specific information and recommends re-extracting the drive info again. I remember I had a problem trying to extract the key before.

you should have the key
there is some other drive info that is missing
you can fix it or just leave it alone
if the console is banned it dont matter
if its not banned you should never put a modded unbanned console on live (so again it dont matter)

you should be able to use iprep to update you dvd drive
i am starting to use jungle flasher a little more
but
that is because the pc does not and never had a via chipset in it.

I got the new iPrep which (it seems) doesn't allow you to skip the dumping and go straight to the flash. I was all ready to re-dump, but my Xtractor kit stopped working- it wouldn't turn on. After unsuccessfully messing with it, I decided to try to use an older version of iPrep. I loaded in an old FW, replaced that with the new LT 1.1 firmware/renamed that to Lit-CFW, and tried to flash. Then when I booted off of my USB and typed "flit 1234567 12345" I got a message saying that Lit-CFW or something like that wasn't there.

Now I'm stuck. And frustrated my Xtractor kit stopped working out of nowhere.

that would make me think you named the firmware wrong
some of the older iprep look for a different spelling
look at what it says is not there and name it just like that

Yea, tried that. Do I have to do do the eject tray/power off/half close/power on cycle before doing flit etc.? If so, I still don't see how that would make a difference when it says it can't find the FW.

I got it. I forgot that you have to make folder /1234567/12345 and place the FW in the last folder too.
