Spent days trying to resurrect a botched Liteon 74850c and seem to be getting no where fast. Have looked at the various tutorials but not found anything that works yet.
Originally tried using Jungleflasher + Liteon iXtreme. Managed to get the identify, enquiry & key files and save my lite_cfw.bin file but that's as far as I can get.
Tried booting from a usb stick with Dosflash and l-o-erase and doing it that way. Can erase with l-o-erase and get f72 then try in Dosflash to erase and write but I get as far as Erasing ok!, Erasing finished! Writing bank 0... then it just hangs, every time

I'm starting to think this could be something wrong with my firmware, corrupted maybe? if so what do I do? Like I said, I do have the identify, enquiry and key files but not sure how I generate a new firmware with them?
Any help would be greatly appreciate. Losing a LOT of time on this and it seems there is no end in sight

By the way I am using a Via VT6421A SATA card. Odd thing about that though is I have read that it's best to use the port on the end of the card? I can't get any response via that port at all. The only way it seems to work is if I use the port on the faceplate.
