Returning a Liteon 7 to stock in prep for fall update ?

Hi guys,

When I flashed this drive a while back it all went well and then recently as its been so long Ive used the flash stick with the OFW for other things so therefore I dont have it anymore, Im led to believe we all have to take this fall update to continue using as normal. Is there no way I can restore to stock without that key ? Should I just get another console to flash after the update ?

Ok Coffree so can do that, Once Ive read the drive how do I go about flashing it back to stock as Ive never done this, I will be using Iprep so if you could kindly explain. Its just so Im prepared and ready when the update hits us.

i dont think going back to stock will help you prevent getting banned
also i have not use iprep for the lite-on in some time

I was just going witht he flow Coffree, Like Ive heard and read even on here that its best to return to stock for the update. What do you think ? Ive always been acceptant of the ban, especially after the last ban wave. I also believe all this SSV2 and SSV1 people keep going on about is a waste of time because we will all still be banned at the same time, wether we on 1.61 or LT. Im still on 1.61 since xmas last year and still all is good.

So what you think is best coz I aint a clue, Im happy to just follow suit with what you guys think.

P.S JF always locks up on me as soon as I turn on the CK3. I spent hrs and days trying to sign drivers, Rename, Remove and I just couldnt get it to work.

Well if you look at the last ban wave there was a bunch of people who were warning people to return to stock because the ban wave was comming. I know of a couple who followed suit returned to stock and were banned.

I had a couple consoles I returned to stock and they were banned.

Its as if M$ collects data from your console, and then figures out a pattern to determine banned console's then go through all the data they have and ban accordingly. I had a friend of mine who hadn't played his console in like a month before the wave, and got banned.

Personally, I'd keep the console flashed until the day the wave hit's. Hell once the day comes I'd just keep the console unplugged, and never go online again but keep it flashed

I will just leave it then, Like the mindset I have now is just to buy another second hand console, Like an arcade one as I have 2x120 gig HDs. The only thing I worry about now is the HD crippling, will they still be doing that then as I heard they got slaughtered for doing it and released a website patch to uncripple it. Dont know how true it is as I got rid of that xbox ages ago.

Im really pleased to hear what you guys have had to say as I really couldnt be bozzed to return to stock and then reflash again.

Well after an old dash update (right after ban wave) they made you able to install games to your HDD.

They still havent done anything with the corrupted profile situation. Things get messy after your profile has been corrupted, which really kills me...

Anyways, the best thing to do is to keep an eye out for the ban wave... Listen for people saying its going to hit soon, no one may know, but if people start talking about it in irc's and whatnot and giving dates, just be cautions with your online play.

Your console can be banned from online, but until it is connected to live, it will not know its banned so your HDD will function, you can use media center etc..

So the ideal scenario would be to get it offline just at the right time before it hits. I keep meaning to get another 360 too, well I have an Elite but thats a V2 Liteon 8 series so just gonna leave that for the missus.

When I see in chat boxes and stuff people going on about making sure they are SSV2 and how safe as houses they are on LT FW, I always say to them " Listen guys your gonna get banned anyway along with everyone else at the same time no matter what you do, People might aswell just enjoy it while it lasts then restart the process.

Yep pretty much, just check the board every now and then before you go online. If there is anything about bannings then stay offline. When the ban wave hits you can bet the forum will blow up with ban topics and theory's.

Listen guys your gonna get banned anyway along with everyone else at the same time no matter what you do, People might aswell just enjoy it while it lasts then restart the process.

Yep no kidding, I always have to explain to people who are worried about bannings, that even if your console is banned, its not garbage, but even if they do throw it away, if the use of backups has saved them from buying or destroying 3 or more games during the time they have had a flashed console, then they've saved more money than they would have lost otherwise.

Bottom line, flashed console = ban.
