updating

My older 360 is flashed with iXreme 1.51 and its a LiteOn. I'd like to update the firmware to newer. This xbox never goes on live. Should I update to LT or iX 1.61? And with it being a LiteOn do I need a probe or hardware to update it?

at this point i would wait
for the new firmware to come out
if you take the latest live update
your console will not play the new games that have the ap25 backup check
fable3 being one of them.

you should not have to probe your dvd drive again
just use your dummy bin from the first dump
and build your new firmware when you update the drives firmware.

With the new LT+ out do I need to update the dashboard then flash the drive(s) or leave it flash the drive then update to the latest dashboard? Or does it matter what dash I'm on when I flash the drive?

i would update the DVD DRIVE firmware first then take the update
if you are on a console that dont have the new dash
