just need this confirmed (liteon v7400)

so ive been trying to upgrade my liteon v 7400 drive from lt to lt+ and cannot get dvd key. ive read on a few diffrent posts that the only way to get key is the mra hack way, due to something w/ the lt firmware. so now i have to cut traces and stuff? just recieved a new probe thinking it was bad(green led would stay illuminated all the time w/out probing r707) but new one is doing the same. dam it!!!!! so if yall could shed some light on this issue id appreciate it. do i need to cut traces and get the v2 probe? thanx

yes thats the way to get it if you didn't save the dummy.bin from your dump

thanx for the reply dethuntou, would you happen to know where i could find a tut on how to get this done? is it the same method as ive seen w/ the 8 and 9 series, w/ jumper wires etc; or will the v2 probe take care of that? thanx

The probe takes care of that, all you need to do is make a couple cut's then use the probe for the rest.

Download the jungle flasher guide and go to page 126 that will show you where to place the probe, also where to cut.
