I'm banned w/Ixtreme1.6, do I need to upgrade?

Guys, first I got banned last Dec, I'm pretty sure there's nothing to do about it. So we've been playing local. Now that there are are wave(s) 4-9 games, and wanted to know if I must flash to newer FW in order to play them. Today I use an activate.iso for one shot boot for games like MW2. Thanks for a quick answer, I'm gonna try it anyway after ABGX says it is ok, but just wondering if updating my 83850c has gotten simpler or more complicated as things may have changed. I don't mind still using the activate.iso in order to boot.

Yes, you need to upgrade to play waves 7-9. The new waves do additional security checks and will not boot on the old firmware. Also, I think you have to upgrade the dash to version that came out with the Kinect.

As for flashing that drive, I believe someone (xecuter?) had a part to install on the drive so that you could do firmware updates without going through all the soldering/desoldering stuff. Good luck!

as long as y0ou have your orig dump or dummy
the just build your new firmware from that and flash it in
no cutting or anything just flash it in

and yes you will need to update your firmware
to the LT+
