Cool
It's just all so "bad word" ...
I checked my firewall all ports are open already ...
anything i find is set up correctly ...
I read some where i depends on what XP version you have installed ...
Like there should be an Xp media version
XP home version and XP professional
3 types 3 different setup's ...
I have the Xp professional
I tryed Zune player ... NO succes can't get connected with my pc
Going to try TVersity now

Re: Media sharing with the 360
in windows mc 11 go to the library tab and put on sharing.
that is all
my 360 will see
my pictures
my music
my video
it even will go into folders 3or 4 deep.
i would make sure your my documents are shared in your computer.

I have media player 11 not the validate version ... but i don't think thats the problem.CoFree wrote:in windows mc 11 go to the library tab and put on sharing.

My media is shared
When you start the setup on the console going to the tab media then to media sharing
You get a code they ask to write down in the next step it's preparing your pc you need indeed go to library then the arrow pointing down and select media sharing
Then a box pops up with a blank space and above share media to ...
So in this box my xbox should appear but is doesn't ...
Only thing i can think of is that it comes because my pc is connected to a switch/hub same as other computers and my xbox is goging to this switch/hub too.
maybe I have to instal a second networkcard and share my internet connection on my PC to get it to work.
But then my computer must always be powerd on to get on Live with my xbox...
Zune player didn't work and tversity was no succes either.

Re: Media sharing with the 360
You won't go into the media center or key in a code at all. Go to the media folder on the 360. Then go to your music, videos or pictures tab and hit X to change you media source. You should see you network computer at this point. Click on that and then navigate through the folder. You will have to have the source in the My Videos, My music or My Pictures on the computer as cofree said.
