Not sure whether my firmware is wrong, or something else.
I recently procured a copy of Deus Ex HR, and figured I'd update my console to the latest LT+ in order to be sure I could play it. I have a Phat Liteon 83v1 console, and updated both the ones in the house. I tried burning the game 3 times, and none of them functions, giving me open-drive when in the xbox. I ran through ABGX and had no problems, decided to see if Black Ops would work. Ran it through ABGX, all green, burned a copy, same problem. Older and newer games including Catherine and NFS work, so I can't figure out what's going on and would greatly appreciate any assistance.

what dash are you on
if you are going with the latest abgx360 fix
you need to be running the latest dash

It's a console that is on Live, so I assume I am on the latest dash...

ABGX will not patch until game can be verified at release date most likely. I wouldn't play a game on a console that connects to live before the game is released anyways, that is asking to get it banned. Even if it isn't played on live, the save game info is there on your hard drive. Bad juju.
