Xgd3 games are out "XBC V2.9 WILL NOT READ"

I have a question cofree. Will the ixtreme 1.51 users the old hitachi drives be able to play these new games or will we have to upgrade custom firmware as well?

i have not heard one thing about
the guy going to fix the kreon firmware

its been best to use a benq or a liteon 360 dvd drive flashed with 0800 for a long time
a kreon will not pull ss2
there are many benq and liteon dvd drives (console dvd drives) on ebay
i would think
you would want to pick one up
if the kreon is not supported any more there may be a run on them
they could get hard to find

CoFree, are the BenQ flashable to the 0800 FW with the same JF? Thanks for all help and explanation.

what it is
you take a benq or a liteon dvd drive from a 360 console
you use jungle flasher to flash in the 0800 firmware
it dont need a key or anything
its just firmware so your pc will think its a normal dvd drive (for the most part)
then hook it to your oc like any other dvd drive
that is way most of us have our pc side cover off
i had a pc that i had to open and close the drive a few times when windows was starting so the
pc would mount the drive.

also you are going to have a way to power the drive
i use a this

So is the only problem with XGD3 games is that they can not be ripped right now? Or is it that they can not be read by the current drives without new FW? Or is it both?

Let me know when the video is out, how to flash the benq. I will be getting my drive on Saturday but I will still need to wait for the new 0800 fw and the updated xbc. Thanks

just the 0800 firmware that is in the firmware ware pack
it will not do xdg3 games but it will
give you a understanding of what you will have to do when the xdg3 0800 firmware is out

yes gears of war 3 is an xgd3 we have to wait for LT 2.0

after a 11 strait hours of co-op hard
i checked it and it is xdg3

get new dvdr+DL with 9.5 gigs or 10 gigs something like that

that is not right
as far as i understand it
the xtra 1gb of space has always been on the disc
games are what 7.4 gb the other space was used for security crap
now that xdg3 has came out they are using a much smaller amout of space
so that xtra space can be use for game code now
so the normal dvd DL is what we will still use.

great news today we will be able to use the 8.5 dvd+dl standard media. check out the great news. c4eva is so pro lol!!!!!!!!!
