Security checks
Security checks
I am using a Kreon flashed sh163b drive to rip with. My rip goes good but when I check the security XBC says passed, Schrtom360 passes, Kreon SS checker passess, but dvd mulleter fails. It says that the SS is present but is invalid. Any suggestions? I have went ahead and burnt the game to see what would happen and it plays on my system. Thanks for any advice.

thats a first for me.
so far if my iso is good in 1 check then it good in all 3.
make sure to post back if mulleter fixes it
Re: Security checks
Thanks, mulleter fixed the error and all checks out well.
Re: Security checks
Even though mulleter fixes my problem. I don't understand why it is happening every time. In XBC I choose the option of SH163B, which is my drive. It always defaults to SH163C. Is this the same firmware and should I use the C instead of the B? Maybe I'll try it and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for all the help.
Re: Security checks
Check to make sure that you don't have a program called anydvd running in the background when you make your game dump. Or any other DVD, CD copy protection removal program for that matter. It can cause a problem with reading the ss.bin correctly but schtroms or XBCr won't catch it for some reason, but mulleter will.

Re: Security checks
This is a very good point, thanks Sadalius...could we add that point to the tutorial on dumping games?--to make sure there is no such software running in the background while dumping games?

Re: Security checks
Added to the ripping guide. Thanks NeoRio, I didn't realize that it wasn't there

Re: Security checks
Thanks, I do have anydvd loaded and I think that it may have been set to autostart and running at the time. I'm going to make sure it's off and re rip a game and see what happens. I'll report back.
Re: Security checks
all you have to do
is in the lower right of your screen
right click on the fox and disable.
that will take care of it.

Re: Security checks
It might not be necessary, but after disabling, I like to reboot my PC to make sure that nothing memory resident is left running.
