Could I use the power cord from my usb to sata adapter http://www.insidecomputer.com/pictures/ ... usb_03.jpg to power my benq drive when I flash it.
BTW just what to use it for power not to flash getting via chipset card for that.
can I use this to power Benq drive?
Re: can I use this to power Benq drive?
no
if you are not going to use the 360 to power the drive then you will need this.

you will need a connectivity kit within the link & the power connector on that device is a sata type!!
where as you need the standard molex.. to achieve this you will either have to use an additional converter or better still buy a supply that already features it

Don't forget the all important : connectivity kit

Re: can I use this to power Benq drive?
I wouldn't hurt anything by using my 360's power supply would I?
Or is it just easier to use a connectivity kit

It's been 11 days and I'm still waiting for my Connectivity Kit to get here...they take a long time for reporting that they are "in stock".

Thanx for the info and so fast. It's nice to find a forum that u can post a question and someone answers with an real answer.
(ie: why not make it easy on your self and use the xbox 360 to power your benq drive when you flash it.) That was a reply and the only reply on a different site.I won't be going there again.

Yeah, I've been to places like that. Sadly, when you've never been through the process before, you might even think that was the correct answer, which I guess technically it is correct, just not the only correct answer. Thats what I like about this place. People aren't afraid to tell what worked for them.
