Hello all,
I am inquiring about the aftermath of the MOD's if any. I flashed a Hitachi drive and it would read the disc and play it. A day later it would not. I would have to eject and then close tray and it read the discs fine. Have you guys had any problems. Could it be the media? I use Memorex DVD+R DL's. They burn at a max of 8X but I burn the games at 4X. They seem to be fine the first few times then give unplayable errors. Have any of you had this type of experiences. Any type of ejecting of the tray or anything? I have 2 more Xbox's to mod. Wnat to make sure al things are correct. I have an MS-28 and have a SATA card being delivered on Friday and a benQ. Thanks for any thoughts!

Re: Xbox 360 after Flash
i would say use verbatim disc
Re: Xbox 360 after Flash
you should use really good quality media i would say buy verbatim and when you burning your backup burn it at 2.4x, hitachis are fussy about media so they are only good with high quality media and would give disk errors if burnt on a cheap media. change the media burn it aat 2.4x and see what happens
Re: Xbox 360 after Flash
Yes. I was thinking that. Verbatim are a bit expensive but worth it so I dont get these unplayable errors. Anyone know of a cheap place I can get Verbatims. I will try and burn slow and hopefully dont get anymore unplayable errors.
Re: Xbox 360 after Flash
try ebay, i think thats the only good place, other media which works best with hitachi drives are zero defex and fortis, they are cheaper but work well with hitachi, try getting those.

I've even had some verbatims that would not play on my hitachi, but I would say it definitely sounds like media.
