hitachi-lg sata card question?

hi guys...flashed my benq wit ur guys great help now trying to do my buddy 360.....open his 360 found that he has a hitachi drive..does it matter what chipsset he got or no?.....started reading the noobs for dummies to learn the hitachi...he got a model 59 hitachi it says any sata card should work...i used this sata card to do my benq wondering if it will work to do his hitachi..here the link..... http://tekgems.com/Products/la-pci22-vt6421a.htm.....or is there a better sata card for doing the hitachi model 59.....

ive heard the sata card will work
i dont use a sata card for the hit drives.
i use a x360 usb to sata

then i use a connectivity kit to get it in mode B

ok so u use the usb sata as ur sata card and the connectivty kit to connect the drive direct to ur pc witout having it in the 360 case......correct me if am wrong cuz i got confused a lil wit the kit....?

that is a much better way...then the benq.....so all i got do is dl the firmware for the hit and that it.....it great...well gonna get my buddy to buy this part and when i get them ill update u if i got any problems....in a wk or so........thank u for the great help again..........

man at this point i dont recommend any site.
The site that i was getting from let neorio dowm.
ive got stuff from most of the bigger sites at one time or another.

k got everything usb to sata and connecity kit...now which firmware do i dl for this drive...the iXtreme1.4or XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth? then after that which flash do i flash it wit there lik 3 diff ones...this drive never been flashed befor.....

the ixtreme v1.4 is the one to use.
i always look at the date and make sure to get the newest one.

then have a look at the video it should help.

if its never been flashed before you can go right to the flash part.
you need to remember after this first time you will have to do a restore first then flash with what ever new firmware that comes out.

k got sum what of a problem.....hooked it up to usb to sata thne connected my connecity kit and the minute i turn it on i see smoke..not good....i think it sorted the kit and no light comes on on the kit.......cuz my pc doesnt see the drive is there a other way to get power to the drive....? cuz i gotta send this kit bak to see if they send me a other 1..gonna try the slax image to see what happens...u got a link were to get the latest version

you can power the drive with the 360 but i dont like doing that.

k thanks gonna try to do it like the guide says to see if it works with the slax let u know what happens....what speed used i burn the cd in or does it matter..?

k got it in mode B pc see's the drive...i hit flash put the drive letter then it says what speed do i want to flash it wit 2x or 5x or 8x or 12x? in the video it doesnt say what speed..? i did 5x if i did it wrong let me know

there is no wrong speed.
most of us use 12x spped or 8x.
it will take longer to load with 5x speed.
remember if you go to flash it with a faster speed you will have to do a restore now that its been flash.
