benq flashing hit 0059dj flashing and sammy ms28

i made the slax disk and then booted from there to slax screen where it starts doing whatever it does
i gave it a go when boot up into the slax disk there is no point where it says spinning up disk, by the way i did not put any disk in the 0078fk drive, do i need to put it there before the slax disk boots or not, i tried my onboard sata and also the via both have the same thing, it justs loadds to a screen where it says login. need help

hi, cofree read everthing and i understand the whole process, but the thing i was doing wrong was using computer to power the drive so ofcourse it will lose mode b if i restart it, the thing is it is not being detected by my computer because when i load the slax disk there is no disk spin error so it just goes straight to the login screen, so why isnt my either the onboard sata or the via card recognising it in the computer, what chipsets have been reading this drive,

i use the same card to flash the v78 that i do with the other drives.

the only thing i can say is try plugging in the sata cable and powering on the v78 drive at different times.after you start slax.
i still use the slax v2.0 not the v2.1.
if it not in the download ill put it up now.

yeah gave it a go but still no joy, i wont get the disk spinning error so i guess i need a different pc to check it now, but i have to return this today so i guess i will leave it. thanks for the help again

You shouldn't have to do the two wire trick for mode b. You should be able to use slax and firmware toolbox to dump and flash the drive just like a 79 after the passkey is installed.

hi, again, just thought i will swop my benq with another one which hopefully doesnt click a lot like the one now, i got this off ebay its a benq drive and i have my original firmware and hacked firmware so i want to get the firmware or just the key onto the new benq, so do i just get my original firmware in a backup folder and do the rben in boot up or just use my hacked firmware and just run fben and it does it,

if you are putting a benq in a console that had a benq.
i would just put the orig firmware from the orig dump in the new benq
Keep in mind that there are different benq drives.I dont know if your orig firmware will cross flash with know problem.

and get the orig firmware for the new benq drive you have and put my key in it with FWTB v4.6 then do a restore with that

the new drive actually comes with a firmware already so what i was thinking dump the fimware on the new drive and copy the key which was on the old drive and then just do rben and restore it. after than i might just do dben and make the hacked firmware and just flash it with that. is that alright.

as long as it has a orig firmware in it.
then yea that should work.
dump firmware>put in the orig key>run restore>dben > fben
should work fine.

hi wondering if anyone know about this problem>
its a sammy drive the drive makes a skidding noise
the drive stops and the disk keeps spinning. what could it be cuz of flashing or hardware problem
