I was having trouble with imgburn not finalizing my discs so i thought i would try buying a new burner... Thats the ticket, works great. The only problem is it burns too fast. Its set to 2.4 but when I put a blank disk in, it comes up with the info on the right, and says its 4x capable. so despite the fact that its set at 2.4 it burns at 4. I have even tried changing the properties on both my dvd burner and IMGburn where you can set burn rates to a particular media.
So far my burns seem to work at 4x except The Bully's volume was skipping a lot so it would need to burn slower.
Any suggestions?
How to slow down IMGburn?
Re: How to slow down IMGburn?
ive got mine set at 2.4 and yea it moves around some up to 4x
it should be ok as long as you burn on good disc

Re: How to slow down IMGburn?
The problems with Bully are the game itself, nothing wrong with your copy. Mine does the same thing, it will lag from time to time with some hiccups. It just has some technical issues Rockstar didn't work out before release. I burned mine at 4x on Verbatim's. I've burned many backups at 4x on Verbatim DL DVD+R's, with only one coaster because of the media.
I honestly wouldn't worry about the burn speed creeping up to 4x, more than likely there will be no drop off in quality from a 2x or 2.4x burn.

Re: How to slow down IMGburn?
well its not imgburn its the burner, when my liteon writer stopped working i used my sisis pc and she has a samsung writer and when i put the zero defex dl in the drive and use imgburn the info will come as 2.4x which is its actual burn rate on the disk so it will burn at roughly 2.5x, but when i got my liteon back i used it and the same disk on imgburn the info was showing as 4x, 6x or 8x and when i tried at 2.4x it will burn at 4x but it still works like a treat so like guys said it doesnt matter as long as it s a good burn and finalises the disk.
