well what do you mean by bricked. :?: :?:

its hard to brick a hit drive. The key is always in the drive. It does not get erased when you flash it.
the firmware gets flash around the key.
what ever happens dont lose that key/firmware.
you can always put a different dvd drive in it that is working and spoofed.
for that mater you can just put a new v78 in and flash you firmware strait in the drive(no spoof)

The dump of your orig FW is vital, or more importantly, the key (drive ID) stored within it.

If you have a good dump of your drive and have a good key (meaning the key is unique and not full of FFFF's or 77777's) you can restore your fw to original, or flash to iXtreme.

You can check your original firmware with FWToolbox to make sure the key is good. Unfortunately, if you can't recover the key (you have a bad dump of your drive) you have a rather nifty DVD player

Well I just checked the firmware with toolbox 4.6 and everything checks out good. The drive is still bricked.and can't do anything with it as it won't eject or anything.I have searched ebay for this drive and it's price range anywheres from $55 up to $65. Wouldn't just be as good and cheaper for someone to unbrick the dvd drive? As it would be to buy a new one?
I just want my xbox 360 back up and running,I even went on ebay and bought another xbox 360 with the 3rings,and I was going to swap drives,And if anyone knowes what drives come into the xbox 360 Arcade? If it is the Benq or Sammy or the Hitichi?

Thanks Everyone For Your Comments.

you will have to wait and see what drive it has in it.

you say bricked. It sounds broke to me.

Have you tried to get it to mount to your computer with slax.
then restore it.
