Does it show anything for the key when it says that it's invalid? All C's or 0's by chance?

Just tried with jungle flasher and it says my drive key is 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 status bad. I checked the solder points and they are making a connection.

Yeah I do that. The ck3 should be blue correct? I have tried it in both modes, though.

Ok I just tried it again with Jungle Flasher and with iprep, same thing everytime. Invalid key. Ive tried it in both modes on the ck3 unit. Solder is perfect I checked with a multi meter on 3 differnt points to ensure connection. This xbox 360 was bought about 4 weeks ago. Is there a new liteon drive out that you cant flash? The drive still works fine in my 360. I am lost.
edit: Just tried using the ck3 tool v1.2.4 and I get WARNING key.bin contains an invalid key. key is all Cs
Any ideas?

I have checked and checked everything over and over. Its like my solder points arent even there. I pulled the solder off tested the drive it gives the same error message. I solder a wire to the tx pad and stick it in the hole right above the r707 like a solderless kit would do. That didnt work. I traced the circuit board and found where the signal goes after its on the other side. I tried connecting the cable there, all which i test with a dmm and they are getting a perfect signal, same thing happens. I was going to order a probe but at this point i dont think that will even help me out any.

hmmmm, it sounds like the R707 isn't getting connected for some reason or another. When your trying to get the key and such with iprep, are you using a RS232 cable? When you tried with jungle flasher, did you use an RS232 cable or the USB cable for the CK3 kit?

I tried them both on both programs. I ended up putting a needle in the hole for above the r707 to ensure a good connection. I soldered a wire to the rx or tx whichever its called. I checked it with a mutlimeter to ensure it was making a good connection and from the rx/tx point to the hole for the probe, on both sides and also where the trace leads to is all getting a signal. It is exactly the same as having the r707 soldered. I ended up just soldering the r707 back like it was originally and still the same thing. Its driving me nuts. I ordered a probe even though I do not think that will even fix the problem. The chip that the trace eventually leads to is under epoxy and I dont think there is any way I can solder directly on there unless someone has an idea on how to remove the epoxy. Drive was made in September 2008 so its not some new model drive.

Does your SATA pass all tests when looking for the drive?? And does it pass an identify/inquiry ATAPI command within Xtractor??

i am experiencing the same thing, and i previously flash 2 lite-ons earlier with success, so could it be a batch fault?
i get the whole invalid key thing no matter what i try?
my sata card sparked a day ago maybe that could have something to do with it ,do you need the sata to retreive the key?
