Lite-On flashing problem...PLEASE HELP!!
Re: Lite-On flashing problem...PLEASE HELP!!
Hello,
I also had a problem with COM ports detection. I was able to locate the drive in jungleflasher ( to the left) but my port number was 0. Now, keep in mind i had CK 3 PRO, i installed USB drivers for vista ( 3-4 times, because u need all the drivers before u plug CK3 in computer). I went on jungleflasher IRC channel, while trying to flash it, and asked what i was to do if the com port wasnt available, the guy said TYPE IT IN MANUALLY COMX - X being the port number your pc recognized the probe at. I am using vista ( dont hate), so in Device Manager, under ports it listed COM4 only i think = so i put it in jungleflasher in the COM port info. Power the drive - eject, TURN OFF drive - push 2/3 manually back in - power back on, put in the right hole - wait for green light - click dump key. Results
1. WARNING Key DOES NOT LOOK GOOD
solution : do the whole thing again.
2. Key successful
Rejoice, u'r half way done.

avi8tor wrote:just wanted to let you all know.....SUCCESS!!!!!....I figured it out and don't know why I didn't try this before. I bought the probe for the CK3 Lite and thought I would try it without the probe. I soldered the R707 pad and when I turned CK3 on,ejected the tray and powered off , put tray half in,powered on and hit yes enter....it read it straight away with no problems.erased, flashed and wrote and was done in no time. Tested and it even works. So from now on I won't assume just because something is new that it wouldn't be defective....bad probe=no key extraction!!! Again I appreciate all your help!!
