when you did the fist dump do you wait for firmtool to run and build your hacked firmware.

iPrep 8.8 would have the file named as BenCFW.bin not Ben_CFW.bin

by first dump do you mean read? it read all banks and it said success. then i booted back up to xp and made a copy of the whole backup folder on my floppy (flash drive won't boot) and put it on my desktop. then i booted back into iprep to flash and it found my drive and asked what i wanted to do and i typed w to write and it asked for the name and i typed benCFW.bin and it said "firmware file not found!" then went to A:\>. should i do the read process again and instead of booting back into xp after it read the banks and save the file, go ahead and write like you did in the video since i too already have a copy? the benCFW.bin is in the CFW folder on my floppy. i haven't touched anything on the floppy except copy the file over after read. should i copy the benCFW.bin in the CFW folder and put it outside the CFW folder with all the other files to see if it finds it then?

yes read/dump same thing.
but
after the 4 banks dumped did firmtool run and give you a green key
like the video does.

i was so so close. i found out that my flash drive is seen under hard drive in my bios and not under removable media which is why i couldn't get it to work. after fixing that issue, it boot from the flash drive and i read the banks and it saved. i booted back into xp and saved the backup again.. when i booted back into iprep and it was on the first screen and i was just about to type my serial number in when i realized that i didn't cut my drive on which i was using my xbox to power it since i don't have a connectivity kit. my dumb***, always doing some stupid s***, still sitting over there and hasen't said sorry yet girlfriend walked past trying to annoy me and kicked me as i was plugging the drive in and my xbox instantly went from green to three red rings. its still under warranty and i haven't took my warranty sticker off. i know yall probably gonna say why is she still in my house (just kidding) and that i'm gonna have to send it back and i don't want to do the xclamp thing so is there any alternate thing i might can try to fix that?

after i calmed down i realized that it was my power supply that was making the red rings. i unplugged it and let it cool off. iprep found the file on my flash drive and successfully flashed it. i'm about to burn a game to test it out. i want to say thanks to cofree and everyone else that has helped me these past three days. i am really grateful and probably would of messed it up without yall.

i successfully burned 3 games i downloaded last night, i had 2.4x dual layers and i set it to burn at 2.4x but it still went up and stayed between 5x and 11x while burning i don't know why but no it still had no errors. my drive is a lot quieter now when playing a game. once again thanks everyone.

This site doesn't support talk of downloading iso's as you never know who's watching. Glad you got it sorted though.
