Lol fair point. so the tail grows stranger. Now having got it working and seeing that normal dvd's and games work i thought i'd flash it again. Turns out this wasn't on of my best ideas. Now i get an error 65 which is bad firmware flash I know that it might just be that the draw isn't closed trust me i've checked and it's not that. So any ideas how I can fix this? I've tried re flashing it but it doesn't want to take it.

Just a quick update I gave up and got a pre-flashed drive so all is well now. Hehe could almost have brought a new xbox (10+70)

I would just about like to take a look at that drive to see if I could figure out what is going on with it But glad to see you got things sorted.
