Ok did what you said got the dos folder came with the old 1.5 FW from xbins

Anyway as i typed in l-o-eras AC00 i got this 2 times each attempt

Status FFFF

Status FF7F

Iv rechecked the port number its still AC00

Are you sure that is the correct port address? How are you verifying the port address? Before booting to dos, make sure to disconnect anything else that may be attached to the sata card that isn't being used as well.

Iv got the drive up went thru all the ports worked on A800 got FF80 and FF72 turn the drive off type dosflash hit Y And got Status 0x51 not 0xF2 like on the vid turned on the drive no change

Ok all hope was lost and I was proceeding to flash my lite-on in Jungleflasher to give to my friend now just about as I was going to erase my dive I figured, meh Ill try swapping it around with the other got nothing to lose,

Now since it picked up my drive but not the other, I unplugged it and put the dead drive in, nothing changed on JF even when unplugged, hit erase and BAM!!! it did it hit write and now the drive works!!!!!

God am so relived that it works since Iprep didn’t work

Anyway I don’t know if people managed to recover a drive this way b4 but if anyone gets the chance give it a try

I've been meaning to try hotswapping a drive, but haven't had a second lite-on to test with yet. Good to know that it worked for you though.

Wow maybe someone should make a tutorial on this, its the only other way ive heard of unlocking a lite on other than the DOS method, good on you man, it feels good to get something like that off your back lol i was in the same position as you with a friends lite on, finally resolved my problem though, Great job man

hello out there, i am having big time difficulties... i have a liteon drive that froze during the erase on jf... i read alot of the replies and no of them show me an error like i am getting... it wont show up in jf anymore and when i open it in dos flash v1.7 it shows under
