you dont have to load your spoofed firmware that u made in jf. just load the 1.6 lite on repack that you got from xbins or wherever mate. If u still get the message saying about the firmware update the ixdef file.

ok I realized now that I wasn't getting the right serial number if thats a possible problem. The next request was to power on the dvd and open the tray halfway and have the probe placed on the r707 which I did.
When I hit continue I got
1st error "source firmware was not found"
2nd error "drive firmware reading failed. double check all your connections and try again"

So I guess thats where i'm stuck.

I don't know if this matters but now when I press the probe (maximus probe) it does not light up blue, it used to indicate before the initial attempt to erase/write on jungleflash, when connection has been made. I hope that just part of this particular freeze issue.

I will be up for another couple hours so hit me back and i'll try some more things It's almost done and I can taste it! :)

At jjlj64 - First your Hijacking someone else thread. It's cool just start your own next time. As long as you have the key and possibly the Lite_cfw.bin, follow this tut:

http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... 195&t=3226" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you need help start a new thread and we'll be right there to help!!

hav0kk - you can follow the video too, it's real simple.

I want to give a shoutout to djshauny1. Way to go man. In the end I repeated the whole process, sata card config and all and presto!! everything came out fine.

In the end my Lite-on was locked up as explained in a previously suggested reply which had a video that showed exactly what happened to my pc. We went right through JF one more time and everything works... I've tested my original copy and works fine.

Thanks again for everyone giving their experience up for this.

Am I right in assuming the reason JF crashes (when erasing) is due to the VIA drivers being present? :?

Yep, your computer tries to poll the drive through the card but there is nothing on the drive to poll, 0 information since you just erased it.

Without the drivers your computer knows a card is connected to the motherboard, but without the drivers your computer is unable to tell if anything is connected to the card. So no polling, and no freezing.

Thanks for that! Had JF freeze on 2 liteons before so I had to go through dosflash to recover them, nice to know that removing the driver will stop JF from messing up.

Got a new CK3 coming tomorrow so hopefully all will go smoothly. :)

That is correct. DJshauny1 had me change my driver info to *.bak and thats what stopped the polling I believe. Thanks again and hopefully this will help others understand this situation.
