I did flash a firmware today though!--a Linksys WRT54G router! I'm so glad, now I have my 2nd 360 in a different room all nicely and neatly setup. I got a version V2.0 WRT54G and spent about 4 hours getting it done! The flashing to DD-WRT was easy actually (first to Mini version, then Standard)...but configuring it to Client Mode Wireless is what took hours.
As for my many posts/questions...I figure that once I do get a BenQ drive I'll hopefully have most of the info I'll need to start backing up my games and be a little ahead as far as my knowledge of things goes.
