For the record, $3.33 per disc for CMC Mag dyes is a total ripoff. Verb's can found on
http://www.newgg.come http://www.supermediastore.com and
http://www.meritline.com for under $2 a disc. There is no close second for Dual Layer media quality, the only real threat would be if Taiyo Yuden got into the DL biz.

How can you tell which Verbatims are the ones made in Singapore? I remember reading something about the 8x or 6x being the indication as to whether they are Indian or Singaporian made. It's the Singapore made Verbatims that are the best, right? Also, where is the cheapest place to buy them?
Thanks

I have ordered 2 spindles from that guy, prompt shipping, i usually get my discs in 3 days(United States) and they were made in singapore. No coasters after 20+ burns. Im very happy since they were $1.50 a disc. Or you could get the orange label verbatims which are rated at up to 10x in compatible dvd drives, but they usually run about $2.00 a disc. But i would't burn a disc faster than 4x because of buffer underrun errors.
Verbatims FTW

As far as I know, all MKM dyes are made in Singapore or Taiwan. I don't know if there is any difference in the dyes used or dye quality. Verb's were never made in Japan that I'm aware of, not counting the rare TY-Verb's which were more prevalent in the UK.
The most recent batch of Verb's I got from supermediastore is made in Singapore. I wouldn't worry about it unless coaster threads start popping for Verb DL's.
