Also, make sure you are using the proper sata cable. Cofree and I wasted hours one day trying to flash a sammy, only to find out we had a bad cable.

I tried it on a third computer. It was a nice ass dual core. It still gave me the problems. When reading the drive it would sit at 0x7F then as soon as the drive would power, it would hop over to 0x80. Thats it! it would not change one bit. I tried many diffrent ways. Do you think possible this is a block because my 360 a little newer?

I don't man.I think some thing is just not right.
your sata card is a via 6421 right.you could try a different card try a different sata cable.Out the pci sata card in different pci slots
The first sam drive drove me and jman crazy.the old computer i had would not work.then i took it to jman and had a bad sata cable.
just stay with it.

Are there any other methods of flashing the drive?

there are but if this won't work then the others won't

They all have to get the D1 (debug mode) to start flashing.
I dont think your computers are not seeing the drive.

Hmm thats what i thought but at the same time on the third pc it would change from 0x7F to 80. Do you think the system needs to have a ground connected?
