Did you extract or move the files to the root of your C drive??
lets make sure you have the file in the right place..
type >
cd c:\
then type >
dir
this will bring up the list of files & folders (directorys) located in the root of your drive // take a screen grab or copy & paste the details & post them here

i have flashed the drive

wooohooooo lol
but i used fe toolbox v 4.5 i think i used fw version 1.2 would this be a problem coz the tut i used said use v 1.4 but it wasnt in my list
im lookin for toolbox v 4.6 now if i want to flash again it should be same process am i correct ?

v1.4 is the current firmware.. there is a new release of firmware toolbox also - it's now on version 4.7

make sure you save a backup of your orig.bin // email it to yourself or something
you will need to do a restore 1st if you are upgrading the firmware

ok 1 more ? lol
so as im now using the wrong FW all i have to do is get into mode b the drive is already unlocked so all i need to do update in FW toolbox am i right ?
could you point me into the rigth direction on how to restore the 79_78 drives never done one

no! the unlock is temporary not permanent... you will have to unlock the drive again with the audio Cd (follow the original procedure)
With the hit drives (unlike the sams & benqs) you will have to restore the original firmware - u cannot cross flash!
there are tutorials on here for doing this >>

I have never done a 79 but I believe the process should be the same as the rest.. perhaps it's best to confirm with some1 that has before you go ahead.
After restoring you can then flash the new firmware

just for reference i have done a restore and i works fine im now chuffed that i have flashed my first hit 79 drive
thanks to all for advise and help but now that ones done im sure future one's will be easy
