0079fl flash problems

Hi im not sure if this has been asked already but im tryin to flash the 79fl drive i have seen the video on this site and i boot into slax get rom into mode-b then boot into windows the drive is showing in my comp and devise's but as soon as i put the 79 unlock cd into the drive my comp crashes am i doing sumin wrong ? any help would br great thanks

I don't know for certain if you have a problem with your drive or the disc has been burnt incorrectly.....

do you get any error messages??

also.. when you insert an audio cd does it auto play & if so what is your default audio player?

i can play the audio on the drive when im not in mode b and my defult player is windows media player within 10 seconds of tryin to play the cd it crashes my pc i have also burnt this file a few times and still the same problem

please state your burner & burn process... it's not just the audio it's a combination of audio & text (cdt)

also.. just for kicks whack another audio cd & see if it plays without crashing

Burn the Image to a CD using ImgBurn. You can just use the options “Write Image File to Disc” and load the Image.cue file. The .cue file only works for blank CDs , not DVDs. You should use a slow burn speed, the file is not large and faster speeds will not help you. For the remainder of this tutorial, this will be referred to as the “79 Unlock Audio CD”

I should imagine the tut on 360 mods is accurate but please point me to it so I can mull it over.. & also please state your burner

did u try the to play a standard audio disc in the 79 under windows?? if so.. tell me what happened

i have looked over the vid tut too but im still havin this problem

the audio cd wasthe 79 unlock cd i have played in pc and 360 and it works if 360 is in mode b i have no joy pc crashes

are u sure it's in modeB??... sorry for all the silly simple questions! we just need to tick off all the boxes here

yes its still in mode b wont close like it should have to hit the eject button a few times to close it :S

just get another cd.. a standard music disc (any disc) // surely you have an album of some sort.
If it plays the disc without crashing then we know there is a fault with the disc you have burnt

if it crashes we can look at the situation from another angle

ok so keep it in mode b then put in a normal cd ? yes i have loads lol but most are back ups

yep.. keep it in mode B & try another disc

ok i have tried that and it wont read a normal cd either system crashed it took a really long time to read the cd
