now man
this is going to hurt (im sorry)
but
i would not try to flash that drive from the floppy
if you have to fine
but

i would go back to work on booting up on a usb flash.

make sure to keep a copy of that backup folder that is on your floppy now.
that is like gold if it has the good key in it.

There is a img file that you can download from xbox-scene.com that you burn to a CD. It has all the flashing tools on it including dosflash and it will let you put the firmware on your hard drive. You might try tracking that down and giving that a try.

What have i missed? If its just a problem with booting to dos you could use an ms-dos startup floppy and when it says A:\ type in B:\ to change the destination to your usb stick (or whatever your usb is) and continue as normal.

If your using jungleflasher yip but if your using iprep disconnect it. especially if its a sata hd. Persevere with iprep if your using the via card

Here is what I would do since you seem to be having some luck with dosflash. If your going to use a floppy, after iprep creates it and your going to use dosflash, you can delete off all the iprep bat files. Make sure that when you run iprep that you only select the benq firmware, as the others aren't needed and will take up more space on the floppy. You'd have to use jungleflasher to create your hacked firmware, but you can use dosflash to dump and then flash the drive.

to free up some space i did

del benofw.bin
copy a:\fben.bat a:\backups\xxx\xxx\benowf.bin

so it will still be there when it checks, but i hope it will now not run out of space and will be able to flash the drive
