thanks for the guide....gonna try it today or tomm....i just got my samsung drive today the 1 u told me to get...hooked it up but my pc doesnt see it....how can i get it to work witout putten the divers in cuz it came flashed wit the koren firware....it works just my pc doesnt see it...

You are talking about an SH-D162C drive, right? How did you hook it up to your PC?? If your PC doesn't see it, then there is a possibility that the drive might not be good. Not saying that it is bad, but just a possibility. On my old PC, I had mine connected on the secondary IDE channel as a master, then connected my burner as a slave on the same channel. It worked good for me till that PC finally gave up the ghost and died on me. With my new pc, its 100% sata, so I had to use an external USB enclosure for it to work.

you can put it in a enclosure.
check the master/slave plug on the drive.if you cd/dvd drive is master you will have to set it a slave.
i would just get it in the computer

yeh the d162c.....i got it working now it cuz it was on master moved it to slave and pc found it...now how do i find out if it is flashed wit the KREON V 1.0 cuz he sayed it comes flashed..? or do i need to flash it wit a new version?

if he said its flash then my guess is it is.

when you open it.
it will list the cd/dvd drives you have in your computer.In the field at the bottom you will see the sh-d162c and the firmware.

k got it yeh it flashed....thank godd...lol.........am reading the guide right now to try to flash the drive so ill get bakc to u if i run into any problems thanks alot of tha help.........

k iam seen the video..but getten comfused on the flash drive part & do i gotta disconect all my dives on the pc cuz it talks unthing about tha in the video.....and how do i know wha destination i put it on..confused there to cuz mines only says C..is tha lik a usb drive that i have to create? and when he put in the 2nd round of serails were does he get them....or i can use the same way he doing it... 1234567 then he enters a other set of numbers can i use those same set of numbers?

when you put in your usb flash it will give it the drive letter you have to use.when working in iprep.
the numbers " I " put in on the video was 1234567 12345.
what you should do is put in you ser number that is on the back of you 360 console.the first 7 (space) then the last 5 numbers.

i tryed it but for sum reason i cant get it to boot from usb.....dony know y i put everything right on bios screen.....can i make the booy out of a cd..?

mine will boot on a floppy


there is some people that have flashed it with a cd ive never done it.
maybe one of the other guys will pick up the thread that has done it that way.

am gonna try wit a floppy to see if it work....cuz usb ant worken....ill report wit wha happens hopefully it all goes well.....

now when i stick in a floopy in and try to read whats on it this message pops up... ( this disk is not formated and it tells me if i want to format it ) ?........then when i open iprep it doesnt let me choose the right drive it only says drive C but my zip is on drive A.....i dont know y it keeps saying the disk is not formated i put in lik 5 diff floopys and it says the same for all.....it wierd........finaly got it to read the floopy earsed everything that waz on then tryed to write the flash to it wit iprep and it says the disk has no ( ID Address ) dont know what this means..?
