its my understaning the lite-on firmware will work
but
it will not read 3rd wave games.
i would not flash in the lite-on firmware to the updated firmware for the lite-on is out

i saw xbin has liteon 1.60 repack FW.... is it work for 3 rd game? anyone can confirm it?

just got benq ixtream1.6 of xbins!!!! not shur how long its been on there? but its there.

All versions are now on Xbins. The repack is the "fixed" lite-on 1.6, use at your own risk.

sorry for dumb question but wats the activate.iso file for in benq 1.6? ... don't get me wrong i get wat it says its just don't remember seeing that separate file on older versions?

activate.iso, when burned to a disk and placed in the drive when it's initialized will place the drive in 0800 mode. You should only do this while the drive is connected to a PC. It's used to put the drive in a mode to where it can be use to make backups like an SH-D162 drive.

It's also used for the one-shot boot mode for non-stealth games. The activate.iso disc will tell the firmware to load the following disc without any checks.

so far i have a bunch of buddies that have 1.6 already on there 360,s and they have been playing just fine online i think its very safe

There doesn't seem to be an ixDef for the 1.6 FW; do we use the 1.51 ixDef?
