Lite-on JF flashing - am i doing it wrong?

Post by OneManArmy »

Hey guys, i have flashed quite a few number of old liteon drives now and follow the JF guide everytime just to make sure that i do not sqrew it up.. And so far so good.

Today tho i had a minor issue and i dont know what i did wrong or what happned, basicly i read the old fw (iextreme) then went for lite-on erase. Here both the guide and JF tells me to cycle the drive once when the dots apear. So i did, nothing happned so i cycled it again. And it went thru. But not to 0x72 status.
Cycled it again and it vent into vendor mode. Wouldnt flash tho since it said something like UNKNOW FIRMWARE.
So cycled it AGAIN and it worked.. Can someone check my log below to see what the hell i did wrong?

So what I do AFTER getting the key is, Hit Lite-On erase. I hit ok with the boxes and cycle ONCE!
Wait for it to do its thing and itll come up with an unknown flash type, and Manufacturer ID: 0xFF so on.
Here I hit intro-vendor, cycle after the ok boxes and its good to go in vendor mode.
