My friends drive wasn't opening and the tray broke and wouldn't open and before i could take a look at it to fix he bought a new benq thats the exact same as his. I was wondering what the easiest way is to do the whole swap thing? Any thoughts? Thanks.
EDIT: i just watched a youtube vid on it and is it really as easy as switching out the chips in the drive?

Man he was talking about the PCB Board. You remove the flat wires, by lifting the latch and the swap it. If you cut anything you might be out of luck.
