xbc problem..? when reading a game

i went to back up burnout paradise....read the noobs guide in backing up games wit the xbc..read the game took 1hr 10min but the output file is in dvd format not a iso....so when i tryed to write it i get a error...so i burn a dvd to see if my drive was working in a dvd +r dl and burnt it fine.....so i assuming it keeps gettinh the error becuz it in dvd format & not a iso..

after its done reading i got a file wit the winrar image and a dvd file...i think the winrar image if it is the iso dont know y would it cum out wit that image on it....

i posted on this in the other thread.

if you are using a sh-d162c dvd drive to dump with.It will make 2 files
1 dvd file (small its the layer break
2 the iso dump (is the game big 7gb

you will input the dvd file in img burn to burn.
it will know to use the iso that has the same name as the dvd file you input.

k this is a diff guide from the other in noobs that y it probably didnt work shows me more steps......does it matter that is a newer version...using 2.8......

i did everything lik the guide sayed and for sumreason the file cums out as a winrar instead of the iso it wierd...then i get the dvd file thats the breaker layer like u sayed.... but when i use imgburn it wont work when i select the file that set up as winrar image.....and when i extract it it does it like a dvd file wit the video and audio folder....gonna remove winrar and dl winzp to see what happens....

the iso may look like it rared up but does it say it .rar
you dont unzip the iso

yeh it comes up as rar...i think i found the problem i uninstalled winrar installed it again and i unchecked the setting to not mess wit any iso file..and the iso image and the dvd file finaly came out......lik in the guide what r the next best dvd beside verbatim cuz no store around here got them...i orderd sum online today gonna go to the store to buy a other brand till they cum....any suggestions

i dont know wha happen but it sayed there was a error... interpretation:invalid address for write........it waz at 50% dont know y i keeps getting these errors.........dont know what to do next wasted lik 6 dvd to these erros.....

only thing i got it my laptop but i dont think the dvd drive is DL... i got a PHILIPS DVD+R drive....i it wierd cuz i burn a movie on a DL today to see if it would work and it burned fine.... i waz checking thru the setting of xbc and everything was ok except for the speed it waz set to 12x and on the guide it says 4x big diff in speed when it was reading it....if any 1 ever had problems backing up burnout paradise let me know....

ive backed up burnout.

i dump at 4x speed and burn at 2.4x speed


you know thw movie you burned was over 6gb.
just make sure it went to the 2nd layer

no the movie wasnt over 6gb.....i think it waz lik 4gb...iam trying a diff game right now that i got to see what happens i changed the read speed from 12x to 4x....not lik the other 1 was set on 12x...hopefully it goes thru and finshes...and am staying next to my pc to make usre it doesnt go to stand by mode......it at 70% now so everything loooks ok so farr.....ill let u know wha happpens...

you have to try a burn that will go to the 2nd layer.
4gb wont do it.
