To get a valid key

I got a new whisper fan today and when I put it in is it possable to dump the firmware to get the key? I had my 360 flashed by someone. It is a samsung m 25 and I wanted to dump the firmware to get the key. Can I just do the dump and check the key and put the drive back in and it work without reflashing? Do I need to know what # he used when he flashed the drive?

just use iprep to set up a usb flash.
then just dump the drive.
it dont matter what numbers he used.
use your ser number
just dumping does not hurt anything.
all its doing is making a copy of your firmware and key.

keep a copy of your orig firmware in more than one place
for safe keeping.

i would try to get a copy from the guy who flashed it the first time

He dos`t have a copy of my key. I was thinking if I had to put a new dvd drive in, I would at less have the key. I can`t use xbox live, because all I have is dailup. It will be atlest two more years before we get DSL were I stay. How will It affect me by not having orig Firmware?

well you can get a orig firmware if you need it.
but i know i would get my key out of it.thats for sure.

How can you get the orig firmware? Were is the key once you dump it?

after you dump the firmware you then load it in firmware toolbox v4.6
it will show you the key.you can then copy it and save it

How to know if you have a good key? Should the cfw and ofw have the same key?

they both should have the same key.
as long as it is the cfw that was built from the dump
after the dump there will be a "ofw" and a "cfw" and yes the key has to be the same

a GOOD key will have a lot of different letters and numbers
