Checker Freeze

Hello all,

I have an Xbox360 that my brother bought refurbished. I told him not to but he did. He has played for a little bit and started having freezing problems. He said they would go away so they have. I moded his xbox. It was a 2006 Samsung. I moded all went well and we played for about 5 hours straight and then it froze. But it was a weird freezing. It gave no errors it freezes and it has like a checkerboard appearance. The game is still on just with squares of pixels you could say. Does anyone know what causes this problem? Is it an overheating issue? Any response would be welcome.

i would say its just a mater of time before it get the RROD on that box.
that is one of the signs that its going to happen.

if he got it used i would bet that was the problem the first time.

Man, I really dont need that to RROD. I would have to try to fix it. He wasted $250.00 on that.

For 20-30 dollars more he could have purchased an arcade 360.

I would say to go ahead and do an x-clamp replacement on it before it goes totally out.
