Need Some Help

Post by Myth »

so i went out and bought some dl discs thinking backing up 360 discs was as easy as creating an image using nero or imgburn...or just straight copying using clone cd and they do nothing...in fact...when i start to burn in clone cd...the drive with the 360 comes out and it continues to write nothing at all...when i try to get an image...it just comes out with a img that is only 5mb and stop and says succesfully created img...do i need a certain drive for these games in my computer?

http://www.clevermod.com/Article/12.html

apparently a method like this has to be used on your computer dvdrom drive also and i so don't know anything about taking my pc apart...looks like 40 bucks for dl discs just went down the drain

so my thing right now is why do this if i can't burn my own games...i have no idea about where to get good copies of disc images from sites...some people say use newsgroups but all of the good ones cost money...what do you think of this and what do you recommend?

you need a samsung dvd drive which is flashed with a kreon firmware, they stopped making these drives so they are hard to find. you will have to get it from ebay or something. if you intend to play online then this is the easiest and best way to backup your games, for the tutorial go check the 360 tutorial section.

this is the other method people also use and is not the easy way and also its not guranteed to play the backups made from this process safe to play online. all you do here get a dvd rom which has a support of dl disks and a dvd with 8gb+ its a simple swap and this tutorial covers it.

for more information read the text book guide recommended by cofree

there is a lot of information which would help.
flashed 16 benQ, 8 Sams25, 3 sam28, 2 hit 0059dj, 2 0047dh 3 0047dj, still stuck on 0078fk, failed 0047dj hardware

ok myth

the guy that answered you are right so im not going into every thing.

have a read over this.it goes into everything in detail.
http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... =110&t=662
there are videos on the site that show what/how to do the modding of your 360.

1st you need to get your 360 where it will play a backup copy of a 360 game.
2nd you need a way to make a backup game.

This is some thing that most people can do.there will be some reading to under stand the steps you need to do.Dont think this is just going to happen today. If you want to do it and do it right then it will take some time. There also will be some money you need to spend.

For the 1st step flashing the drive you will nee a pci sata card.
http://tekgems.com/Products/la-pci22-vt6421a.htm
this is a pci card that goes into your computer.Once you have this card in your computer.your computer will be able to talk to the 360 dvd drive once you hook them together with a sata cable.you will need a open pci slot in your computer.
for the 2nd step.i would say buy a sh-d162c 360 dvd drive.most all of these on ebay come preflashed with the firmware(software)in them that you need to read a 360 game.

now if you have read over this and the other stuff and it just seem like to much for you to do.
there is a member here that will flash it for you.

you would still need to be able to make your own backups.

just ask and will will help if we can.
