modded xbox "play dvd" message

hi guys...got a liteon 74850c...it was modded with 1.5, im trying to get it to lit1.1...i have the backup files when i did this first...dummy.bin as well...now when i flashed it with lit1.1...i keep getting "play dvd" message....ive restored to stock as well, re extracted the keys again...reflashed again with lit1.1...but still getting "play dvd" message..both backups and original games dont work anymore ...is this some kind of hardware failure...when i returned it to stock, extracted the keys and flashed with new kite1.1....see log below...whats going on..lol ?...ta

if you have a xtra dvd drive around spoof it in and see what it does.

i used the original dummy.bin that i had saved from the first time i flashed this drive....as the source and the new lite1.1 as the target, however JF said that some serial data was missing....i fixed that with required info from the drive using the applet and saved it as fixed dummy.bin...clicked spoof source to target and saved the new firmware as lite_CFW.bin....i then flashed the drive using dosflash and l-o eras method....however it still give me a "PLAY DVD" error message, regardless of wether its a backup or original...i then reverted back to the 1.51 fw that was on it, at least it was playing the older wave games..but to my surprise it wouldnt play any games anymore..it was still giving me the "PLAY DVD " error message....need to sort this out as its not my xbox....need some help and advice please

put the key in a copy of the originate firmware and flash that in
if it dont fix it (original games only)
you somehow got the wrong key
is the only thing i can think of.

also if you are flashing for people you have to keep a xtra dvd drive around just for testing stuff
