Just Received My Samsung SHD162C But Need Drivers!

i have no idea how to get the drivers off of the disc this thing came with. i see nothing about install anything. the most that it does is take me to the samsung website and when i try to install anything it tells me to please put in windows home editon service pack 2 disc in the drive to continue...my computer came previously installed with windows home so i have no disc...there must be another way because i can't get the drive to read anything but the disc it came with

I've never had to install drivers for an shd-162c myself. I've always just been able to connect the drive to the computer, boot it up and was set. Soon as windows booted, it would see the drive and install the drivers automatically. Yours doesn't do that?

no it does but when i go to image burn and xbc they say something like device not ready medium not present...i can put dvds and music and such in there now and works fine...it is not reading the 360 disc

I wonder if it's flashed with the Kreon firmware? When you open XBCr, have you tried clicking on unlock drive first?

wait...i opened up xbc ejected the game and put it back in with the program open and was able to unlock the drive...creating an image with imgbrn now...i'll keep you updated...now if brandon would just receive my xbox today so i can get it back friday
