Hi all noob here, I am currently well have been on this damn 360 for the past 2 days for my son trying to get it flashed so he can do backup games.
Using the 360 to power up console / Windows 7 / MCP6p M2+ M/Board.
I have read the Jungleflasher tutorial 1.75 and I have the v1 dvd drive....so I proceeded with the file : ix-ltv1.1-838.
Did the VIA removal of the drivers for win7
First off let me say it went well till I got to the Liteon erase, the 1st time I missed the dots and it failed, PC froze and so had to reboot PC and console.
2nd time I missed the dots so tried again (didnt have to reboot).... noticed then after that fail I had a flashing red light nd power LED was flashing on/off...so I proceeded (remember noob at this so please bear with me)
So...followed everything, got it done by unplugging/plug the cable at back of drive back in on time with the dots (powered by 360).. this is what I have got :
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Drive returned status 0xD0 (what J/Flasher says it reads)
This is what I get :
Sending Lite-On-Erase request to port 0x0970
..............
Drive returned Status 0x80
.....
Serial flash found with Status 0x72
Manufacturer ID: 0xC2
Device ID: 0x11
Flash Name: MXIC(MX25L2005)
Flash Size: 262144 bytes
Getting Status from port 0x0970
Drive is Lite-On..
Still the power light flashing and red light appears.
Keys matched and shows drive with no probs in DVDKey...
When I tested the console hooked up to TV after I did this, red light/power led blinking.
The DVD drive auto ejects, so I press eject to close drive..on screen error E76 Code.
When switching off the console the drive ejects ????
Am I using the right firmware? Have I bricked the drive? when AV unplugged from console no red light?
Please help as son is in tears.
I dont have the CK3 as some people say.
Will Dosflash work or iprep I hear ppl talking about (this is more confusing and dont have the money to get it pro-fixed)
E76... thats to do with your ethernet port.
Power up your 360 without the drive connected, see if you still get the error (your middle green led will be flashing, but thats normal). If not, try power cycling the 360 a couple times, your error may go away.
According to that log you posted, your drive seems to be flashed fine. If you had a bad key, you wouldnt have any of these problems, your console would boot fine, drive would function fine, but it wouldnt allow you to play games, it would say play dvd instead of game, and it would play a 5 second clip of the xbox intro, then say insert disk into xbox 360 console.
Power cycle is taking the white plug with black wires out of dvd drive at the back yes?
When flashing the firmware with JF does AV plugs need to be in?
no no, I just mean turn your console off, then back on let it boot if you get the error again, power off then on again.
If you still get the error, unplug your dvd drive (pull out the power cord while the 360 is turned off) then turn the console on, and see if you still get the error. (Just to make sure its not a mistake by the console giving you an e76)
Right, I tried that and still the same thing.
My mate had a spare drive exact same as the one I have flashed it using his CK3 as opposed to me using the 360 console to power the drive (with my key)
Same result, Green blinking power led and 1 red light with E76 error
When power on the drive it ejects the tray, switch off machine it ejects the tray
E76 = network chip as far as I have read, its never been on internet or ethernet plugged in since I got the damn thing.
So what is it if it is the ICS chip ppl mention cant I just take that out and leave it out if I have no intention on going on internet with it?
Thanks, for your help guys.
-- could it be the power cable from the drive to board that maybe damaged?
Well unplug your dvd drive completely from your console, and power it up with no drive connected, do you still get e76?
If so then you do have an ethernet chip problem. If you look at the ethernet port, there should be a little chip right where the port is connected to the board. I believe that is the culprit.
You can buy the chip online I believe (ebay etc) or you can just buy a red ring motherboard for like 20 bucks and extract the chip from it.
I dont think any of the guys here have fixed any e76's but I can bet you shootsteel over at hackingjungle has, you might want to head over there and see if he can help you.
Also, as far as I know you can just remove the chip for offline play.
