i think i found the problem but not sure it it even does anything, well there is this black wire which is for grounding the head unit to chassis and i thought it is connected to the car for ground but it wasnt so i think that is the problem. but shouldnt it start even if its not earthed.
thanks

Take a picture of the harness you bought and the one that came with the radio. I've been around this stuff for a while now. I also have a Pioneer and they are all basically the same thing.

hi, just bougt the car last week and sounds this week, well i got it to work as it was the ground problem, i touched the chassis of the head unit to bare metal of the car and it worked so i just used a wire to connect it and its working great. just thinking on how to secure the 6 by 9's at the back, i need to make a hole or something, will do that tomorow. one more thing i connected my 6 by 9's just to see the sound, they were wickd i put the base up and they were pretty powerful like a sub but i had a old factory 5.25 on left door which was messing up when i put the volume up so i took it out and played it and it kind of messed up my base. it sounds like the coils blown or something not sure, i did mess up the settings but i tried to bring it back but it was still a bit same, i didnt finish changing all the settings. i think its the settings but not sure.
thanks

what is harness anyways?

The harness is the connector that connects between your stereo setup and your cars connectors that went to the old stereo setup. In the automotive realm, they call those connectors harnesses.

Probably some velcro with sticky on both sides.

hi well i would like to do that got an idea anyways found a small gap on my steering wheel where it actually fits, problem appraently its too far from the headunit, when i try to increase volume or anything using the remote the headunit wont do anything so i guess no point me putting that there.

thanks anyways

A lot of them are like a tv remote where you actually have to point them at the unit for them to work. I've found that its easier to throw them in the trash and reach over and turn the knob!

lol guess so no use of a remote when i am driving as i wont be holding it while driving will eb jst using my hand to turn the knob. but temporarily i have stuck it on the steering wheel without any use of glue or anything, anyways i never wanted this car its just i was getting this really cheap and my dad was paying for it so i didnt mind. this is my first ride so its all good. i have about 1000 usd left with me and i was wondering what can i do to the car,
does anyone know a good site in uk where i can get spoiler front back bumper for really cheap, just want to customise it. also i had a look on ebay there was an induction kit for micra for like 100usd and i was wondering what it does and will it increase petrol usage, is there anything else i can do to it to increase the brake horse pwer. this induction kit can increase upto 10 bhp/

I'm not sure about the rear because they should have springs on them as well, or at least a leaf spring type suspension, but the front, you would put the car up, remove the strut assembly, take that to someone who has a set of spring compressors and then compress the springs with the tool to remove the top plate and remove the spring. Then simply reverse the process, compress the new spring, put it on the strut assembly, re-attach the top plate, then remove the spring compressors and install the strut assembly back into the car.

Oh and BTW, anything that you do to an automobile that increases engine horsepower will also increase its fuel consumption. As will adding things like a bumper lip or things similar because that adds more weight. Replacing things will work because your not adding weight. So just bare that in mind when working on your supermini.

Ask and ye shall receive. Recipe is not mine, rather Alton Brown's recipe from Food Network. I love it.

1 1/2 cups small diced yellow onion
6 cups small diced baking potatoes, like russets
2 cups milk
1 (6.5 ounce) can clams, drained, juice reserved
12 Little Neck clams
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Sour cream, for garnish
Grape tomatoes, halved, for garnish

In a heavy-bottomed saucepot, render the salt pork until just crisp. Remove and discard. Sweat the onion in the pork fat until tender. Add the potatoes and cover with milk. Bring to a boil and let simmer until potatoes are soft. Season with salt and pepper.

In a separate pot, fitted with a steamer basket, bring the reserved clam juice to a boil. Add clams and cover. Steam for three minutes until all clams are open. Remove the clams as they open and transfer to a bowl. Add the steaming juices to the pot with the chowder. Using a stick blender puree to desired consistency. Adjust seasonings.

Finely chop the drained canned clams. Fold into the chowder. Serve with steamed clams, parsley, sour cream and grape tomatoes, as garnish.
