Spoofed drive and new firmware

I have just flashed a samsung drive with its latest fw, when i did this i realised the console used to have a liteon drive in it.

I spoofed the drive with the latest samsung fw and it plays backups fine but not the new ap25 games, is this because it used to be a liteon drive and needs either a liteon or benq installing into it.?
