360 Shuts Off While XBC is Ripping Game ??

i mentiond this in my benq thread but i figure ill make a post here too


while xbx is ripping the 360 game from my benq...it gets to bout 20% and then the 360 just shuts down.

tried twice an same result


it's really frustrating to say the least.


plz if anyone can tell me what to do to keep it from shutting down ?

Offhand, are you keeping the A/V cable plugged in while the game is ripping? I believe the 360 auto shuts down after a couple minutes if the A/V cable is not plugged in.

yep
i picked up the other thread man.
the 360 will cut off after about 5 min without the dvd sata hooked up. you need this.

Just to add, if you are ordering a Samsung SH-D162C or SH-D163B, then the Optical Disc Drive Adapter that comes with the Connectivity Kit v2 is not necessary. It is useful if you plan on using your 360 DVD-ROM regularly to rip games. If you only plan on using this method a couple times, it is probably not worthwhile.
