Powering a Xbox 360 drive

Whats the difference between the ck3 pro and the 360 power unit dongle by Maximus? I am only looking to power the drive. Will I ever need the extra features of the ck3 pro? Are the extra features worth the money? Also, could someone recommend a good reseller? Thanks
