xbox360 won't open hitachi drive tray

ok i was using the two wire trick to get into the b mode. So it didnt get into the b mode but the xbox 360 won't open the tray. When i press the eject button in the dashboard it says "opening", "closing tray" "reading" but it doesn't do anything. So i did the two wire trick and it worked, booted windows and flashed the drive but the xbox 360 still won't open the drive. Oh yeah when i hit eject on windows the drive does open. So is there a fix for this?

I would double check both connections to the motherboard, especially if the drive opens in FWToolbox. It doesn't sound like the drive is being powered properly
